EVENTS IN DC 26-30 MAY 2004 --

All of you are
aware that we have lost our Adjutant/Commander Major Richard
Gordon. This
get together in DC was Dick's project which he was handling on his own
and doing great until he became very ill. After some discussion between
us, weighing the pros and cons, many unknowns to us, the decision
has been made
to CANCEL the scheduled events as pertains to the BBB. There was/is too
much at stake, too many questions, to chance going forward. We will not
go into details. It has to be done.
Refunds will
be returned to those that sent in their $62 per person deposits as soon
as possible, we plan in no more than a week. This deposit was for
the Dinner, open bar, reception, buses, registration. NOT for the Hotel.
BBB had
nothing to
do with reservations.
If anyone
still plans to go you may do so, of course. The Hotel will honor the $99
plus tax per night (about $114). If you have reservations, as I do, they
are still good. You may also still call the Hotel and make reservations.
Each party is
responsible
for the Hotel bit on their own. Washington Terrace Hotel -

26-30 May 2004. Tell them you are with the BBB. Remember, the BBB
events are cancelled, but a get together is possible.
We sincerely
regret that this decision is necessary as many were really looking
forward to
a BBB reunion.
